{12 May, 2009}   Philip K. Dick Quote

“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away.” – Philip K. Dick

{18 February, 2009}   New Quote – Strength

I recently read this quote somewhere and liked it a lot.

“You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.”

“Suicide is man’s way of telling God, “You can’t fire me – I quit.”” — Bill Maher

I don’t understand what the point of living is if you are miserable and ultimately going to die anyways. With every day your body is growing older and dying. It seems to me that if you want to end your own life then you should have the right to do so. People around you and who “care” for you may be sad at first but eventually they will get over it and forget all about you. It will be as if you never even existed which is exactly how it will be in sixty years or so when you die from cancer or whatever else it is that kills you. There is no difference..

“But there can be no secrets in a house where there are children.”

{2 May, 2008}   Quote of the Day

“Politeness. Now, there’s a poor man’s virtue if ever there was one. What’s so admirable about inoffensiveness, I should like to know. After all, it’s easily achieved. One needs no particular talent to be polite. On the contrary, being nice is what’s left when you’ve failed at everything else. People with ambition don’t give a damn what other people think about them. I hardly suppose Wagner lost sleep worrying whether he’d hurt someone’s feelings. But then he was a genius.”

{2 February, 2008}   Head of the House

“The men may be the head of the house, but the woman is the neck, and she can turn the head any way she wants.” – My Big Fat Greek Wedding
